I Love Nebraska History Because

It's part of my story

Nebraska has a unique, rich history I carry in my bones. It has landscapes and people I carry in my heart.

As a genealogist, I love Nebraska history because it paints a picture of why we are who we are.

I love Nebraska history because of the people. Today, and in the past, people have shown strength in work ethic and concern for their neighbors.

Being a 5th generation Nebraskan, Nebraska history gives me an appreciation of what my ancestors achieved and endured to help build this State to give us the quality of life that we now enjoy as residents of this State. I am constantly amazed by what the people of this country have achieved in just 160 years, as compared to other countries that have been in existence for thousands of years and have made very little progress in terms of improved quality of life for themselves.
