The Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation’s travel adventure program, WanderNebraska, is kicking off its 5th year! This year the program includes 254 Nebraska museums, libraries, parks, and other historical points of interest to visit.

2026 WanderNebraska booklets are now available for preorder.
We love that so many travelers are exploring Nebraska through the WanderNebraska program! To help us keep this free statewide travel experience going strong, we’re asking for $5 per booklet this year (limit of three booklets per order).
In 2025, the Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation (NSHSF), a nonprofit organization, distributed more than 10,500 booklets throughout the state and across the nation. This year, the $5 per book helps cover the growing costs of postage so we can continue sharing Nebraska’s stories with travelers like you. The 2026 booklets will be mailed out in mid-April. You can still pick up a free booklet at any WanderNebraska site, and our new free WanderNebraska mobile app is now available to download! You can also explore all registered sites on the WanderNebraska.com website when the 2026 season opens May 1.
