I am interested in being considered as a nominee.
NSHSF Trustee Roles and Responsibilities
–Provide visible leadership through financial support to the Foundation. For many years $250 has been suggested as the minimum annual contribution. Some trustees contribute much more, some less. Trustees can donate at a level that is comfortable for them. All donations, regardless of amount, are appreciated.
— Participate as a member of History Nebraska. A household annual membership for one year is $75 and includes a subscription to the quarterly magazine, Nebraska History and free admission to all sites.
–Help the Foundation identify and contact potential donors, at all levels of giving for unrestricted and specific projects/areas, assist in educating others on the ongoing need for gifts in support of the Foundation.
–Attend and participate in the Foundation’s Annual Meeting and other events when possible. Trustee terms are three years.
–Time Commitment: The Board of Trustees meets once a year. At other times during the year, Trustees may be asked by the President or Executive Director to participate on committees or in other Foundation activities.
The Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation is committed to individual and organizational efforts to build respect, dignity, fairness, equality, and self-esteem. We respect and value diverse life experiences and are devoted to creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all.
